College soccer kicks of this weekend with the Colorado Cup. All six Division 1 Women’s Soccer programs will square off against one another beginning tonight and concluding on Sunday. Colorado is the highest ranked team in the state, checking in at #25 in the NCAA preseason poll. They’ll start on the road with a contest against Colorado State today at 5pm (Click here to see the game preview from the University of Colorado).

University of Denver hosts Air Force tonight at 7pm in the second of the opening day Colorado Cup tilts. Coming off another Summit League title, Denver has relatively high expectations early this season (Click here to see the game preview from the University of Denver). The final contest pits Northern Colorado against Colorado College. That game will be this afternoon at 3pm in Colorado Springs. Northern Colorado won the game in Greeley last year on a PK in overtime (Click here to see the game preview from Colorado College).

Sunday’s action will all be at Prentup Field in Boulder when Colorado faces Colorado College (3:30pm), Colorado State meets Denver (11am) and Air Force tangles with Northern Colorado (1:15pm). A few other games will occur as the season progresses but this weekend’s six games comprises most of the Colorado Cup. A champion will be crowned in this annual event on October 28th.
