After the Colorado Buff Men’s Basketball squad went down to the wire in their Pac-12 game last night, the Colorado Buff Women will look to rebound from their second-consecutive Pac-12 loss tonight when they host Arizona. Coming off back-to-back losses in Los Angeles to start conference play over the New Year’s weekend, the Lady Buffs host the Arizona Wildcats tonight and Arizona State on Sunday (see more here).

Colorado State and Air Force will square off in Mountain West Conference play tomorrow. The Men’s game will be in Fort Collins and feature the two programs who are trying to get right in the MWC. Colorado State took a good step in that direction with a 76-71 win against San Jose State last time out (see the recap here) to get to 1-1 in Mountain West play. Air Force got back on the winning side of things on New Year’s Eve over Utah State after losing their opener to Wyoming on 12/28.

The Air Force Women will host CSU tomorrow as well. The Falcons were competitive in both their losses to Wyoming (66-54) and Utah State (65-62) so in spite of a 2-10 record they aren’t easily written off. Colorado State has struggled to find consistency in Mountain West play. After losing the season opener to Boise State, it took overtime to off San Jose State and give Ryun Williams his 100th career win on Wednesday night (see the recap here).

The University of Denver has a full  weekend. Hockey host Arizona State tonight and tomorrow, Men’s Basketball is at pre-season Summit League favorite IPFW tomorrow, and gymnastics begins their season at Minnesota tomorrow. Additionally, the defending national champion skiing program starts the 2017 season in Utah today, tomorrow and Sunday, with Slalom events in Montana on Sunday and Monday.

Northern Colorado Women’s Basketball moved to 3-0 in Big Sky play with a 83-53 win at Southern Utah last night (see the box score here). They’ll look to go to 4-0 against one of the top teams in the Big Sky when they visit Northern Arizona tomorrow. The Bear Men will look to rebound from a tough loss to SUU hosting Northern Arizona tomorrow night.
