The Colorado Mesa Maverick Volleyball team was picked 5th in the RMAC preseason coaches poll. But they received votes in the NCAA Division II preseason rankings. So there’s no question the league will be a challenge once again. As the team set to begin the season on the road, Colorado Corner spoke with head coach Dave Fleming about the expectations coming into this year:

One of the key players for the Mavericks this year was picked to the All-RMAC Preseason Team. MacKenzie Edwards, who received AVCA Honorable Mention All-American honors following 2017, begins the year with high hopes of exceeding the 2017 marks the Mavericks set. She spoke with Colorado Corner about that and her time in Grand Junction:

With the challenge of many teams on their non-conference schedule receiving votes or ranked in the NCAA Top 25, the Mavericks have their work cut out for them. It begins in California on August 24!
