#3/4 Denver Men’s Soccer extended their regular season unbeaten streak to 37 games thanks to a 1-0 win over #16/20 Akron last night. The lone tally came in the 45th minute when senior Graham Smith scored on a penalty kick. The defense stepped up in a big way for the Pioneers en route to the victory (see the complete recap from the University of Denver here).

RMAC Women’s Soccer preseason release came out today. Not surprisingly, Colorado School of Mines, who made a run into the NCAA Quarterfinals last season, was the preseason #1. Regis came in at #2 and snagged two first-place votes while CSU-Pueblo (T3) and MSU-Denver (5) rounded out the Top 5 (see the full release including preseason RMAC teams here).

Tonight marks the annual CSU vs. UNC Volleyball match. This year the match will be in Fort Collins at Moby Area and begin at 7pm. Both teams had disappointing opening weekend. Colorado State fell in the season opener on Friday but rebounded on Saturday for a 1-1 record while UNC lost both matches and sits at 0-2 (see the match preview courtesy of Colorado State here).
